                                         Artis REIT has taken another step in demonstrating its commitment to tenants
                                         with a new cutting edge elevator management system at 220 Portage Avenue.
                                              ith a tenant roster including the Royal Bank of Canada, future home of Artis REIT head
                                              office and a location at the heart of Winnipeg’s busiest underground intersection,
                                         220 Portage is a busy place. Its lobby is a non-stop hub for professionals going to and from
                                         offices and meeting rooms spread throughout 17 floors and more than 170,000 sq.ft.
                                         And given the advances in elevator technology in the 50+ years since the building was
                                         constructed, building owner Artis REIT felt that a new elevator system might be in order.
                                         "From a property management point of view it’s obviously highly desirable to be able to
                                         deliver your tenants and guests to their office floor as quickly as possible,” says Sue Ziemski,
                                         Senior Property Manager and National Manager for Sustainable Buildings for Artis REIT.

                                         In 2014, Artis turned to Otis Elevator to design and install a new destination dispatching
                                         system for 220 Portage. The system, CompassPlus™, groups passengers by their
