New to the Expo this year was the Best Booth
Contest. SRS Signs & Service took home the award
for the 2016 Best Booth, as attendees cast their
votes after browsing the tradeshow floor.
                 Education Sessions & Luncheon

The Expo education sessions covered a wide variety
of industry topics that included: building code,
energy audits and modeling, the Women’s Hospital
          redevelopment project, drones in construction
technology, tax assessments for property managers
and owners, identifying climate change risks, and
energy efficient initiatives available through Manitoba
          Hydro Power Smart.
The Expo breakfast panel discussion, which doubled
as BOMA’s Building Operators and Engineers
(BOEG) monthly breakfast, was the best-attended
Expo and BOEG breakfast on record. The breakfast
was moderated by Ron Hambley of the Winnipeg
Construction Association, with panelists from various
fields within the industry from Manitoba Hydro,
Architecture 49, Advance Pro and Bird Construction.
Manitoba Building Expo was also proud to host
David Chilton as the keynote speaker to nearly 400
luncheon attendees. Chilton is the author of the
bestselling books, The Wealthy Barber and The
Wealthy Barber Returns. He helped launch the
          bestselling Looneyspoons cookbook franchise, and
is known for his role as a dragon on CBC’s Dragons'
          Den.

From sharing behind-the-scene stories of his time
on Dragons' Den to giving relevant financial advice,
Chilton captivated the crowd with his humorous,
and moving short stories, often pointing back to the
theme of living within one’s means.
The fourth Manitoba Building Expo was presented
