COMMITTEES
Building Owners and Managers Association

A number of committees deal with various matters of ongoing importance to the
industry and to BOMA members. Committee membership is voluntary; each year,
BOMA members donate their own time and expertise to the BOMA Manitoba Board of
Directors and various committees.

Awards of Excellence

The Awards of Excellence program recognizes excellence in building operations and
property management as well as customer service and innovation.

Building personnel nominated for the annual Building Operator of the Year Award are
assessed on their knowledge and understanding of building operating systems, energy
management techniques, preventative maintenance and other fundamentals.

The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Award is presented in categories based on
building size and use as well as modernization achievements and historic preservation.

The Pinnacle Awards recognize excellence in customer service.
Categories include: Outstanding Customer Service; Innovation; and Above and Beyond.

The Building Operators & Engineers Group committee is responsible for managing all
monthly events and education offerings related to BOMA’s B.O.E.G initiative. The
purpose of B.O.E.G. is to provide continuing education and networking opportunities
for building engineers, operations staff, and trades professionals employed in
Manitoba.
