I am on the Building Operators Engineers Committee for several years and recently had the utmost pleasure to be asked to help judge
The Outstanding Building of the Year Award (TOBY).

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE BENEFITS YOU SEE IN BECOMING A MEMBER?

I became a member as I had always seen BOMA as a great opportunity to be involved with industry leaders and educators, a vast
dynamic group of people all striving for the same goals and objectives. This made my decision to join a no brainer, I wanted to be
involved, share in a meal, be a part of a great education session and network with likeminded individuals all working together in our
industry to help, improve and grow.
HOW DO YOU THINK BECOMING A MEMBER HAS HELPED YOU IN YOUR CAREER?

Meeting new and exciting people leaders and BOMA members, networking and sharing of information in our industry is vital so we
can all understand the challenges we face.

WHY DID YOU BECOME A
MEMBER?
Without a doubt, I have met so many
great people over the years, vendors
and suppliers that I had not heard of
before who have since become my new
go to people. Being a BOMA member
and attending all the great functions, PROPERTIES OF
seminars and my favorite, the Manitoba
Building Expo, has opened me up to SUCCESS
learn so much more about property
management and new and innovated
products on the market.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE
TO NEW MEMBERS AND THOSE
WHO AREN’T AS ACTIVE?
Get involved and participate in a
committee and share your knowledge
and talent with the entire BOMA family.
I call BOMA a family for the simple
reason, if you ever need anything this
large group of professional industry
leaders would assist you in a moment’s
notice. You will meet great people,
