IF YOU HAD TO SINGLE OUT ONE OR TWO PEOPLE WHO HAVE REALLY BEEN INFLUENTIAL IN YOUR
CAREER, WHO WOULD THEY BE AND WHY?
My father Patrick and my wife Candice are the two most influential people who have helped me get to where I am today. My
father instilled in me a valuable, unwavering moral compass that has allowed me to succeed while never compromising one’s
values. My wife Candice, is an incredibly smart woman with a keen sense of entrepreneurialism and was a very successful
businesswoman in her own right. She has always been my sounding board for thoughts and ideas around my company and
always provided the “devil’s advocate” advice that sometimes I didn’t want to hear, but needed to hear.

IF YOU WEREN’T WORKING AT CUSHMAN & WAKEFIELD, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’D BE DOING?
I would be involved in some form of motorsport racing. Snowmobiles, sports cars or motorcycles. You can learn a lot about
yourself in a racing situation. Racing is all about controlling emotions under extreme pressure, very similar to business.

VOLUNTEERS PAY AN IMPORTANT ROLE FOR INDUSTRY ASSOCIATIONS LIKE BOMA. CAN YOU TELL US
ABOUT ONE OR TWO OF YOUR OWN EXPERIENCES AS A VOLUNTEER THAT YOU FOUND PARTICULARLY
          REWARDING?

I have been involved as a volunteer on several boards but the one experience that stands out for me was the time I spent on
the board of directors at the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce. Winnipeg has many extremely successful leaders who are
passionate about our City and the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce provides a great voice to represent our interests to all levels

          of government.
