Call for submissions
A friendly reminder that the registration deadline for BOMA’s 2024 Awards of Excellence is Friday, March 22nd, and submissions will be accepted until Friday, April 26th. 2024 awards categories include:
- Tenant Improvement of the Year Awards
- The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Awards
- The PINNACLE Awards for Outstanding Customer Service, Innovation, and Above & Beyond
- EARTH Awards (BOMA BEST® Certified Buildings)
- Building Operations Team of the Year
- Property Management Team of the Year

Our local nominees and award winners will be recognized at BOMA Manitoba’s Awards luncheon in June. Local winners in the TOBY and PINNACLE categories will also have the opportunity to enter the BOMA Canada National Awards Competition, which will be held in Vancouver this September!

In this presentation, Trevor Rebeck from TKE will provide an overview of elevator topics relevant to building owners, property managers, and facility managers, including:

Annual General Meeting
Date: March 15, 2024
Location: 360 Main, Conference Centre (Main Floor)
The annual general meeting is held for the purposes of:
- Reporting on the state of the association;
- Presenting a current financial overview of the association;
- Appointing auditors for the coming year; and
- Electing the association’s board of directors
The Nominating Committee is pleased to nominate Nathan Willman, Chief Operating Officer, MJ Roofing for election to the board of directors.

11th Annual BOMA Poker Tournament
Please join us April 23rd for the next ‘BOMA Connect’ event of 2024 – our 11th annual BOMA Poker Tournament!
This unique networking event will again be held at the Pinnacle Club at Princess Auto Stadium. Members and guests will be treated to a few hours of Texas Hold’em in a fun tournament format, over drinks and appetizers.
Bring out your customers and colleagues (no experience required!). Spots are limited, so sign up today!

BOMA Staff Update
Welcome to our newest BOMA staff member – Maya Wisher!
Maya has been hired as BOMA’s Manager, Marketing & Research, and will be looking after a number of local initiatives including the BOMA/CRE Impact Study and BOMA Compensation Survey. She will also be managing the BOMA website (including career postings) and social media accounts, in addition to contributing articles for our BOMA Manitoba publications.
Maya is a graduate of the University of Manitoba and was previously employed by Naylor, LLC as digital editions specialist, which included work on various BOMA International publications. She can be reached by email or on her direct line – 204-777-2662 ext. 201. Welcome, Maya!
