Foundations of Real Estate Management®
In partnership with BOMA International, BOMA Manitoba is pleased to offer the Foundations of Real Estate Management® course. Our next offering of Foundations is beginning this April.
This 6-day course is not only ideal for individuals who are new to the industry, but also for anyone looking to expand or refresh their knowledge of commercial real estate.
In addition, the 30 hours of instruction you’ll receive also satisfies the 30-hour professional development requirement for the Certified Manager of Commercial Properties (CMCP) certification.
What is Foundations?
- A 6-day entry-level course covering the fundamentals of CRE administration, management, building systems, accounting and reporting, contract management and more
- Classroom instruction from seasoned professionals, reinforced by behind-the-scenes tours of outstanding buildings
- Small class sizes to better facilitate learning and discussion
- A complete package – instruction, peer networking, property tours, a certificate of completion and a comprehensive course manual that is both easy to read and a valuable resource back on the job
Suitable for all experience levels, Foundations provides:
- Reinforcement of on-the-job training for junior and assistant property managers
- A great refresher for experienced building professionals – fills training gaps and provides important management and operations updates
- Support for building engineers and suppliers who also benefit from understanding the basics of real estate management

Dates: 6 Thursday sessions (every second week, beginning April 18)
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Location: Various Winnipeg locations (hosted by instructors)
Cost: $1,050 per student*
