The Building Conference – Save the Date!

This full day event at the Victoria Inn Hotel & Convention Centre, is dedicated entirely to designing, building, and managing commercial and institutional buildings. The conference combines a tradeshow/product expo, educational seminars, panel discussions and a keynote luncheon.
Our exhibitor showcase will once again highlight the latest technologies and building products for the building industry.
Now in its 11th year, The Building Conference is an annual joint effort of the Winnipeg Construction Association (WCA) and BOMA.

New Funding Initiative for audits, technical studies, recommissioning, BOMA BEST certifications and more!
As part of the BOMA Enspire program, funding is now available for building audits, technical studies, recommissioning, monitoring systems, green building certifications and support for major retrofit enablement for eligible Class B & C buildings across Canada.
Participants can receive up to 80% of eligible costs, with a combined project cap of up to $125,000 per building (depending on building size) across different activities.
BOMA Enspire is a national retrofit support program that connects building owners and operators across Canada with experts to identify upgrade opportunities and guide their retrofit journeys.
Enrolment is free and participants have access to practical funding opportunities, resources, expert advice, and education sessions to support enhanced energy performance and seamless project development. Visit the BOMA Enspire website to register or to find out more.

Foundations of Real Estate Management Course
We’re currently preparing our Foundations of Real Estate Management course, scheduled for Fall 2025. If you’re interested in joining, please contact Kelly Smith to be added to the list.

This six-day (30-hour) program is perfect for those new to commercial real estate or looking to build a stronger foundation. It covers core topics like building systems, maintenance, and financials, and includes behind-the-scenes tours of local buildings. Participants will receive a course manual, a certificate, and eligibility to start their BOMI designation.
CIET – Building Operation and Maintenance Courses
This fall, CIET is offering a selection of specialized courses in Building Operation and Maintenance to help professionals improve energy efficiency, system reliability, and occupant comfort. Whether you’re a manager, operator, or technician, these trainings provide practical tools to optimize building performance and support sustainability goals.
