What’s been the most valuable BYP event or experience for you?
The Boardroom Sessions stand out as most impactful, learning directly from experienced speakers about their career journeys, challenges, and lessons learned has been invaluable. I’ve also appreciated the mentorship opportunities and the chance to sit on the BYP board, where I’ve contributed to brainstorming events to help improve the program, and exploring ways to attract more young professionals.
How has BYP helped you connect with other professionals in the industry?
BYP fosters a welcoming environment where networking feels natural. The events are intentionally designed to encourage connection, engagement, and the building of strong professional communities.
What skills or insights have you gained through BYP that you bring back to your workplace?
I’ve gained professional confidence through regular discussions at events, as well as strategic thinking skills that support career advancement. Participation has also deepened my knowledge of commercial real estate trends, industry challenges, and strengthened my ability to network and build lasting relationships.

What advice would you give to someone considering joining BYP?
Starting out in this industry can be challenging, especially when you’re eager to prove yourself to your first employer. BYP offers a supportive community where you’ll meet others on the same journey and connect with professionals who can help you navigate both current challenges and future opportunities.
Be proactive, attend every event, take full advantage of networking opportunities, and engage with both peers and seasoned industry professionals. Ask questions in the Boardroom Sessions and don’t be afraid to lean on the experience of others.
What’s been your favorite part of being involved with BOMA through BYP?
The opportunity to attend events, meet new people, and connect with other young professionals who share similar challenges and ambitions has been incredibly rewarding. The learning experiences along the way have been just as valuable.
