Please join us for BOMA’s 2026 Awards of Excellence Luncheon as we celebrate this year’s nominees for the Earth Awards, Tenant Improvement of the Year Awards, Pinnacle Awards, the Emerging Leader Award, and a TOBY (The Outstanding Building of the Year) Award.

Mayor Scott Gillingham is pleased to meet with our group for a discussion on Winnipeg’s future.
This will be a valuable opportunity for Mayor Gillingham to hear directly from emerging leaders in the CRE sector about the opportunities, challenges, and priorities that will shape the city over the next 10 to 15 years, including economic growth, downtown renewal, housing, transportation, public safety, sustainability, inclusion, and civic leadership.

Save the Date: The Building Conference
Save the date for our annual Building Conference scheduled for Tuesday, October 20, 2026.
This full day event at the Victoria Inn Hotel & Convention Centre, is dedicated entirely to designing, building, and managing commercial and institutional buildings. The conference combines a tradeshow/product expo, educational seminars, panel discussions and a keynote luncheon.
Our exhibitor showcase will once again highlight the latest technologies and building products for the building industry.
The Building Conference event is an annual joint effort of the Winnipeg Construction Association (WCA) and BOMA.

Recap: BOMA’s Annual General Meeting
Thank you to all BOMA member representatives who joined us for BOMA’s Annual General Meeting last Friday.
We were pleased to have BOMA Board Chair Neil Fishman report on the State of the Association, and BOMA Treasurer Alex Akman provide a report on the association’s financial position.
BOMA members in attendance also elected two board members: Nathan Willman, CEO of MJ Roofing (incumbent), and our newest board member, Chantel Landry, Manager of Commercial Development at Winnipeg Airports Authority. Welcome Chantel!
A special thanks goes out to the Nominating Committee – Gerry Harms, Joanne Gesell, and Karen Lund – for their work in identifying and vetting board candidates from within the BOMA membership.
