Business Development Manager, Bee-Clean

BOMA Member Since 2020

Kindness, respect, and genuine interest in others go a long way in building trust and long-term relationships.

What is your current job title?

My current job title is Business Development Manager.

How long have you been involved in the industry?

While I officially joined Bee Clean in 2020, the janitorial industry has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Many of my family members have been part of the Bee Clean family, so I grew up seeing the dedication and teamwork it takes to succeed in this industry.

What are some of your responsibilities?

My focus is on scouting new opportunities, crafting winning proposals, and developing and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing clients. I also work closely with our operations teams to ensure we consistently deliver on our promises.

What are some of the benefits you see in becoming a BOMA member?

One of the best parts of my role is being involved with BOMA. It’s a great place to meet people from all different industries, and over the years I’ve built some wonderful connections, many that go beyond work. Monthly luncheons feel like catching up with friends, and BOMA truly has that small, close-knit community vibe that I’m so fortunate to be part of.

What roles have you been involved with in BOMA?

I’m part of the Special Events Committee, which has been a great way to get involved behind the scenes. I love brainstorming with fellow members, helping plan exciting events, and seeing them come to life. It’s rewarding to play a role in creating experiences that bring people together.

Why did you become a member?

Bee Clean has been a BOMA member for several years, and when I joined the company, I knew I wanted to be part of it as well. I wanted to meet people, expand my network, and be part of a community that brings industry professionals together.

Do you think becoming a member has helped you in your career?

Absolutely, BOMA has opened doors to new opportunities, strengthened my professional network, and connected me with people I wouldn’t have met otherwise. It’s also helped strengthen relationships with our current clients.

What advice would you give to new BOMA members who aren’t as active?

Show up and get involved; it’s the best way to make meaningful connections. Join a committee, attend luncheons, and don’t be shy about introducing yourself. The more you put in, the more you’ll get out of it.

What’s a valuable piece of advice you’d give your younger self?

Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. Opportunities often come from stepping outside your comfort zone. Show up, make those connections and make sure to maintain them.

Your role involves working closely with both clients and cleaning teams, how do you build strong working relationships on both sides?

I listen, communicate clearly, and make sure everyone feels valued. With clients, it’s about understanding their needs and delivering on promises; keep the trust—that’s what goes a long way. With our teams, it’s about mutual respect, support, and valuing their hard work.

What’s something you’ve learned about working with people, whether colleagues or clients, that’s shaped how you approach your work today?

People remember how you make them feel. Kindness, respect, and genuine interest in others go a long way in building trust and long-term relationships.
